Final Life & Final Stand - The Transhuman Chronicles books by Rose Garcia {reviews}

Synopsis:
For Dominique Wells, nothing sucks more than being forced to move cross country during senior year. Angry and feeling alone, she thinks things can't get any worse until her new neighbor pressures her into playing a psychic card game. When she touches the cards, she has a vision of a red desert where an evil presence hints at past lives and threatens to kill her.

Dominique tries to forget the experience, but the vision follows her, intensifying with each repetition. Plagued by fear and foreboding, she’s determined to figure out what’s happening to her. But she gets distracted when her parents invite a mysterious and gorgeous new student to stay with them and the hot guy from school starts pursuing her. If Dominique is to have a future with either one, she must solve the mystery of her past and put an end to the evil that's hunting her. If she doesn't, she'll be dead. For real.

Synopsis:
Dominique is still alive after killing Tavion, the Tainted who's hunted her for lifetimes. Yet her protectors still fear for her life. They force her to flee Houston and abandon the friends she loves. But they can't protect her from herself. When Dominique starts hearing Tavion's voice in her head, she realizes that her personal connection to the Tainted still exists. And when her car is ambushed, she discovers another frightening truth—someone close to her is a traitor.

Desperate for answers, Dominique seeks the aid of first lifers Trent and Infiniti. With their help, she hopes to find her new enemy. But things get complicated with Trent because of her emotional pull toward Farrell, and even more complicated when the whispers in her head threaten her loved ones. Determined to live, Dominique decides to make a final stand against the forces that want to end her. For good.

My Review:
So luckily I was able to review these books back to back because honestly I would have gone nuts...the bad part...I still have to wait on book 3. Holy crap! I have to wait on book 3. I need it so badly. The way book 2 ended. I am dying here. OHMYGAWDDDDD!! These books are AHHHHHH-MAZZZING!!!

Book 1 - Wow. It sucked me in and I was finished reading before I realized I was at the end of the book. And then I was like WHAT? In book 1 you meet all the characters and you become attached. Some you like and some you just want to growl at. I immediately felt bad for Dominique. She is tossed into this world where she feels so lost and it seems like everyone around knows what's going on but her. Which is really true. You will definitely be on the edge of you seat holding your breath waiting to see what happens next.

Book 2 - This book is like you want to scream one minute and cry the next. Because it's an emotional rollercoaster. Just when you think you know what is happening. BAM! Garcia changes the course. You have no warning at all. It's pure craziness. It's wonderful but crazy. I loved it. But I have no idea what to expect next. This is what I need the next book. I'm scared. I know what I want to happen. But I don't know what will. I can only hope that some of the author twist and turns will come through and a miracle will happen. Someone come hold me!!
