Say Thank You to a Firefighter and WIN

From now until October 11 at midnight EST, there is a "Tribute to our Firefighters" contest on HSB. Join us as we say THANK YOU! to the men and women who serve to keep our families safe. To enter this contest, all you have to do is post a thank you to a special firefighter in your life or to all fire fighters working hard each day in our communities.

They will then select 2 random winners on Monday, October 12, 2009. The winners will receive the following prize pack from Firefighter Dayna and Sparkles the Fire Safety Dog! The prize pack includes a copy of the children’s fire safety book and audio book, Sparkles the Fire Safety Dog from Firehouse Dog Publishing. This fun, educationally sound book is autographed by Firefighter Dayna and “pawed” by Sparkles the Fire Safety Dog. To date, this book has been credited with saving the lives of two children and their families (http://www.sparklesthefiresafetydog.com/saves). The winner will also receive a smoke and CO combination alarm, courtesy of First Alert. This combo alarm is designed to provide early warning of a fire or carbon monoxide danger, and it has a photoelectric smoke-sensing chamber and an electrochemical CO detector.
