Breast Cancer Awareness Month

breast cancer donation

If you didn't already know it ~ October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this is something that all of us women (and men) should be thinking about. Last year my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer - she had surgery, went through chemo and radiation and then was pronounced cancer free. I say that like that's all, but the things that she went through were horrendous. We don't take any of this for granted. We know that at anytime she could be diagnosed again. Early detection is what helped her - please do self checks, go to your doctor on a regular basis and if you find ANYTHING have it checked. It can mean you life! It's very serious...and we all need to do our part.

You can go to The Breast Cancer Site and click daily to give a mammogram to someone in need. It's FREE and easy.

And if you know of anyone who is a survivor or if you would like to pay tribute to someone who lost the battle go to Customized Girl and create a t-shirt. You will save $5 by using the code: CURE09 and 10% of the sale will be donated to breast cancer research.
