Homeschool Memoirs #25: How Many Loads?

THEME

This question was posted at a Large Family Homeschooling fourm, and I thought it would be fun as one of the memoirs.

Question: Watching the Duggars, and other mega families [our family of 11 is small in comparison!] I was astounded at how many loads of washing. Do all large families do 7 loads a day and more, as I was thinking it sounds a little OTT?

So share all about your laundry. It’s on very rare occasion that it’s suitable to air dirty laundry. Ha!

Well, I, by no means, have a large family. We just consist 4 in our little family, but we always seem to have lots of laundry. :O LOL A lot for me anyways....I hate doing laundry!! It's a necessity though. *sigh* I would *guess* we do maybe 5 loads of clothing and 2 loads of cloth diapers a week. I think when you have children it's a constant battle of stains and dirt. I've found the faster you do your laundry - the easier in the long run. :o)

Stole it from Sprittibee :o)

Actually, I'm just stealing a portion (ok, ok...more than a portion) of her latest post Tagged: A Bloggish Interview. I haven't had much inspiration to write anything me...so maybe this will give me a jump start. And off we go!

Who are you really -

1. Name something or a few things that bug you and expound. We want your unfettered opinion(s). Shouldn’t be blog related.
Hmmm...
Well, like Sprittibee, I hate overdraft fees. I try very hard to keep control of our banking but sometimes I'm amazed what can happen by one mistake. *sigh*

I can not stand people who are judgmental. No one in this world is perfect. People makes mistakes. That's just a part of growing up. And you NEVER stop growing up.

Oh, and bad spelling. I try hard to make sure my words are spelled correctly and when I see a very simple word spelled wrong OH! It hurts me.

2. Tell us about one of your best childhood memories.

I think my absolute best memories are being at my Granny & Grandpa's house. We lived just a few houses down and (if we had blocks out in the country :o)) the entire block would have been made up of family. There was always something to do, someone to play with and my sister and I even had a very small rundown 4-room house (more like shack) as a playhouse. Keys and all. :o) Seriously, it belonged to my grandparents and there was no electricity or running water. We had it full of toys and a couch....we thought we were something else. We got to keep it until my brother got the land from my grandma and it was torn down. :(

3. Describe your perfect day.
My perfect day would be a day where the weather is beautiful - deep blue sky scattered with big white fluffy clouds and I'm surrounded by family.

4. Do you have hobby that you love? Tell us all about it, make us love it too.

Other than blogging? I like to digi scrap. I wish I was better at it. I'm getting there though. I love photography and taking that perfect picture. I am so thankful for digital cameras. Cause let me tell you, I will retake til I'm satisfied. HA! READING - One word: enough said.

5. Tell us the best or the worst thing about being you.
Worst: I expect too much from everybody. Sometimes I speak harshly to those I love. I'm moody. I'm overweight. Sometimes my bills are late. I could probably make a huge list but I think I'll stop now before you all think too badly of me.

Best:
Being me LOL I'm not the easiest person to be around sometimes, but I'm a good person. I love God, my family, and friends and basically that's all that I'm worried about. I don't have to have the most money or the newest things. Oh, trust me, they're nice...but I'm happy with the simple things.

6. What’s the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you? We want all the details.
Ummm, I can't really think...probably peeing myself in public. LOL yea, that's happened.

Personal - (please answer them all)

Vital Statistics –

How old are you? 29
Married? yes
Children? I have 2 - a sweet girl Gracie and bouncing boy Matthew. I had a tubal, but am starting to wonder if it was done correctly. :o/
If so, homeschool, private, or public? Right now I homeschool. Gracie will most likely go to public school next year, because that is what Daddy wants. One wrong move and she'll be back home with mama. :)
Favorite season? I like them all for different reasons. Fall for the crisp cool air and beautiful colors. Winter for the beautiful first snow. Spring for the flowers and blessing of renewed life. And finally Summer for the hot sunny, breezy days full of white fluff clouds.
Favorite past time? blogging, reading, and hanging out with family...
Favorite movie? Depends on my mood
Favorite song? I like a variety of music...but some of my fav songs are Heaven by Warrant, Love Me by Collin Raye, Anymore & Tell Me I Was Dreamin' by Travis Tritt and the entire Randy Travis album Forever and Ever Amen
What kind of car do you drive? blue 2001 Chevy Blazer
Mac or PC? PC
Dog or Cat? dogs
Salt or Pepper? both and all the other spices
Vanilla or Chocolate? Both. Just depends on what I'm craving!
Diet Coke, Sweet Tea or Evian? out of the 3...diet but my fav drinks are Cherry Coke and Dr. Pepper
Steak, Chicken or Shrimp? I like steak and chicken, beef, turkey...NO seafood or wild game.
