Synopsis
Twenty-one-year-old Sophia Ross has lived under the pressure of her parents expectations since the tragic accident that shattered their once perfect family. Determined to start over where no one knows her, she answers a housing ad on Craigslist and takes a job at a little bar in a town she has never heard of. All Sophia's looking for is a place to escape, somewhere she can hide behind her lies and keep herself distracted.

She just didn’t expect to be distracted by Corbin Kasey.

Twenty-five-year-old Corbin Kasey is stuck in his hometown, his job, and his life, spending more time covering for his Dad’s problems than trying to fix his own. To take his mind off everything he has the wild Kayla, his stable roommates, and the calmness of swimming in Mills Lake. He always thought it was enough to keep him from drowning in himself, until he meets Sophia.

Neither of them are prepared for their lies to be stripped away by a single kiss. But for Corbin and Sophia, the truth has consequences.

{my thoughts}
Wow. This book...was awesome. I started reading this one and it was early evening. I stayed up finishing it. I could not put it down. I wanted, no I needed, I know what happned next. This was such an emotional story. Both main characters had things in their past that kept them holding back from others and each other. Watching the story unfold had me in tears many times, I giggled a little and by the end I was smiling big. An excellent story that is well worth grabbing for you Kindle or Nook.

Taming the Boy Next Door by MJ Carnal {blog tour, review, & giveaway}

Taming the Boy Next Door Banner

Taming the Boy Next Door Cover

Synopsis
Caleb Allen was your typical boy next door.  Growing up in a prestigious suburb of Los Angeles, he lived a life most only dreamed about.  As one of the original Moretti men, he caught the eye of countless women with his clean cut good looks and chivalry.  But behind closed doors, he commanded attention, becoming a dominant force that was anything but timid.

After a misunderstanding that jeopardized the wellbeing of the group and a near fatal accident that nearly cost him his best friend, Mark Moretti, Caleb was determined to become the loyal and devoted man he had been in the past.  The minute Dr. Jena Turner stepped from the ICU with news of Mark’s condition, Caleb’s world spun off its axis.  Several chance encounters only deepened his desire to make her his. He longed to prove that the life he preferred was one of pleasure and passion.

But, Jena Turner has a secret that haunts her.  Hiding from her past, a simple moment in the heat of passion sends her running in fear.  An unlikely confidant can either push her back into Caleb’s arms or give him a taste of his own medicine.  Can Jena step into a lifestyle that reminded her of the darkest day of her past?

Broken and defeated, Caleb questions everything he knows about love.  Can he prove to Jena that love is worth the risk or will he watch her walk out of his life forever?

Taming the Boy Next Door is the third novel in the Moretti Novels by MJ Carnal.

{my thoughts}
Ok, to start off I honestly did not like Caleb in the first Moretti book, Taming the Bachelor. I wanted to drop kick him across the room. When I read Taming the Playboy...I liked him a little more. I probably would have just slapped him. When I started reading Taming the Boy Next Door I was irritated because I thought he would be alone or with someone else...and when I saw he wasn't...well I wasn't happy. But I kept reading and whew boy was I glad I did! I can honestly say that I like Caleb now. I don't love him but I like him intensely. His story was amazing, just like the other Moretti books. I love this series. Reading the stories about all this group of people just make me happy. I smile and laugh and cry. MJ Carnal has a wonderful way with words. I can pick up one of her books and I will not want to put it down. Taming the Boy Next Door did not let me down. I loved it. If you haven't read any in the Moretti series you NEED to get them all NOW! <3 font="">

Blurb's Chicken Soup For Your Soul!

It can be really hard buying books for people as gifts. After all, you never know just which books they already have. And then when you do find the right book and give it to them, how do you make it really personal? Put in a book plate? Write an inscription? How do you make the whole thing totally them?

These personalized “Chicken Soup for the Soul” books are one really great way to do it. Not only do you get to choose from five different story themes (from “Christmas Stories” to “Giving thanks”), you can personalize it in ways you just can’t with a conventional book. As the title suggests, these are stories meant to comfort and heal.

Your custom “Chicken Soup for the Soul” book will truly be a book for them because the book is printed with their name on the cover, as the recipient. And it’s truly from you because your name is printed on the cover as the giver. You can even include an inscription inside the book and on the back cover. Even add a photo to the back.

There are other nice options to choose from, like the type of cover you’d like and the type of paper. It takes just about five minutes to make it a truly custom book. And chances are, it’s something they’ll love forever. And a 60-page book starts at just $24.95.

There’s a quick video here: Chicken Soup for the Soul that shows you how to fill in all the info using a simple online tool. The books are all done by Blurb, so you know the quality is going to be great.

Experiment in Terror Series by Karina Halle {Book Review}

I fell in love with Karina Halle and her witty, dark humor when a friend told me to read the book Darkhouse. From that moment on I had to catch up and read the rest in the series, Experiment in Terror. Halle has a way about her writing that draws you in and makes you fall in love with the characters.

The books revolve around Perry & Dex. They are ghost hunters that record a show for an online site. They are constantly bickering back and forth. Dex even has a girlfriend. But that doesn't stop the attraction for growing between the two. I have to say that Dex is pretty much a butt. He is obnoxious, rude, and yet very sexy. He's a tough guy that shows his softer side at times. And when he does...you are going to melt!

It all sounds crazy, huh? Oh baby, just you wait. That's just the tip of the iceberg - you haven't added in Perry's family, Maximus, and a long dead Grandmother/Nanny. And on top of all the back and forth romance, you have ghosts, zombies, and all kinds of creepy stuff.

It's awesome!

I knew I like paranormal stuff but this series just made me crazy about it. I pretty much stalk her Facebook page to find out what's going on with Dex & Perry.
