Torn by K.A. Robinson {Review}

Normally when I post a book review it's because I've been contacted by an author or a publisher. Not today and probably not the next few reviews I do. Because I LOVE the books I just read and I found them all on my own on Amazon. I paid the cash for them and am now running sadly low on Amazon gift card $$. It's the only way I will buy books, because I have a major addiction and if I would buy them whenever I felt like I would be even more broke than I already am. ;) 

The book I'm going to talk about now is Torn by K.A. Robinson. I posted a teaser from her next book, Twisted, in the Torn series Saturday. Did you see it? If not click over here and read it real quick.

When I first came across this book I was finishing up reading one of my others and was browsing on my Kindle to find another. The cover kept drawing me in. I loved the simplicity of the hand holding but I also knew it could be so much more. So I clicked on it and read the description. I was instantly intrigued because it was set in WV. Being from WV I love reading stories based here. 

But I didn't buy it. I wait. As I said I only had a little on my gift card and I didn't want to waste it on a book I might think is 'just okay'. 

This was a new author. How good was she going to be? Was I willing to take that chance?

So I waited a few more days and then I did it. I clicked buy and started reading.

I read this book in one sitting. I don't know that I even paid attention to anyone around me. Ok, I did (my kids did have to eat ya know) but I hurried back to my book. 

I fell in love with the characters and I could feel their emotions. The story made me laugh and cry and quite possibly blush a few times. ;) Chloe and Drake drew me into their world and I wanted them together. I wanted to smack Logan and push him away...and I can't say anymore because I hate ruining a book for someone else. I just loved it. That's what it boils down to. But as with any book in a series it left me with a cliffhanger. So now I have to wait until Twisted comes out in April.

Until then I comfort myself by stalking the author's Facebook page and joining in on the Twisted Release Party in hopes of the teeniest tiniest little snippet of info that will make my heart soar.
