Happy 4th Birthday Matthew!!

I can't believe my baby is turning 4 today. It doesn't seem possible. He has grown so fast.

This child has made my life complete. He can be very ornery but he has a sweetness about him also. He can be a little nut sometimes and loves to make you laugh.

Happy Birthday Matthew!! I ♥ you more than you will ever know!

Social Media & Me

I always get asked what social media sites I use and how I keep track of all of them...and really I am signed up for so many I don't really even remember them all.

However, I will tell you the ones I use on a regular basis. Many people use more and some less. It all depends on you and what you want to do.

Feel free to follow/friend me on any of those! :)

I'm also signed up with Google+ and LinkedIn but I am rarely (very, very rarely) on there. I might check it once every few months. If that. I never got into Google+ and I'm not sure I really understand LinkedIn. It's basically just like a resume right?

Which social media sites do you use the most?

Fruits & Veggies Printable Storage Chart

I love fresh fruit and veggies. Sometimes I toss it in the fridge, but others I think oh they'll be okay on the counter. And boy, oh boy, was I wrong!  I have never refrigerated my zucchini or apples. I did however know not to put my tomatoes in the fridge...because it always made them ripen too fast for me.

I'm so surprised my family has survived this long.

Maybe they will now since I found this cute printable over at Saving Dollars and Sense who found it from Staying Home With My Son.

Music Monday: Rainy Days And Mondays

Well today is Monday and I have to say I kinda wish it were still the weekend. I don't normally hate Mondays and it doesn't look like rain right now (but the way the weather has been here lately that could change in a second). I just had a really nice weekend celebrating my little guys birthday out at my parents house.  He will officially be 4 tomorrow. Wow. I can't believe it. Time has flown by. Look for a blog post tomorrow with some pictures of my Matthew. :)

Meanwhile, enjoy some Carpenters!

Tail Towns Friends Game Review & Giveaway

I like playing online games. I didn't realize how much until I started using Facebook on a regular basis.

There are ALL kinds of games on there. It doesn't matter who you are or what you like, you're going to be able to find one that you find fun.

And ohhh boy, they can be time consuming. You don't realize how fast time can get away from you. It's a little like Walmart, you walk in and before you know it 2 hours have passed.

According to the 2011 Popcap Games Social Gaming Research done in September 2011 those playing several times per day grew from 36% to 44% and those playing over 10 hours on the weekend increased from 14% to 20%. And if you are consider an "avid social game player", which means you play over 6 hours per week - that more than doubled from 7% to 15%. Can you imagine!? It doesn't seem possible, but in playing these games I do know it's true.

Recently, I started playing Tail Towns Friends. It's a game in which a mouse moves to another town and before he knows it he is caught up in mystery filled with tales of treachery and forbidden love. Sounds like a soap opera, doesn't it? A nice juicy story for all of us to join in.

It is really a great cute game! Just look at these graphics! Isn't it beautiful? I wouldn't mind living somewhere like this. With each quest you complete you are able to build the ultimate country getaway. Just the way you like it.

There are also some really adorable figurines available. When you purchase one you get a secret code that allows you to unlock a new storyline. As each figurine becomes a part of your game, you help them complete their stories and you will earn a specialty decor item for your country home.

And now I have a really cute giveaway for you!

One winner will be chosen to win a Tail Towns Friends figurines from the first series.

To enter the contest, readers must DESCRIBE their ‘dream garden’ or ‘country getaway’ in a tweet using the HASHTAG #TailTowns.

And you MUST come back to my blog and leave a comment saying that you did so with a link to your tweet! If you don't, your entry won't count. :( We don't want that to happen!

Giveaway ends August 10th at 11:59PM EST. So get to tweetin'!

Now go try this game out by clicking here. :)

You can also follow Tail Towns Friends on Facebook, Twitter, and their blog.

I read Fifty Shades of Grey...and survived.

Now before you start judging me. Stop.

I had heard of the books and thought....yeah, not for me. Classified as 'mommy porn' I laughed, I'm married I don't need that. My life isn't that boring. But then everyone kept talking about it. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. So I thought why not? If it sucks, then I'll stop reading it.

See when the Twilight movie first came out I resisted it. I rolled my eyes at all previews and had no interest in a "teen" movie. One night the hubby and I were looking for a movie...and we picked it because we liked Buffy & Angel. Maybe it would be okay. And then I fell in love. Read all the books and fell even deeper. They were good!

You know I love reading and I will read anything. So this was literally just another story for me. I'm not one of those that believes that a book or movie is going to corrupt my whole being. I feel like I have enough sense to know real from fake...and to not let it influence me. I mean, I watched Twilight but I don't think I can suck your blood, you know. And I don't worship vampires. Except Edward. Just kidding just kidding! :)

And in reading this, I didn't feel like I was going to turn into some kind of sex freak. The books, from what I had heard, was a love story...with a twist.

So anyways let's fast forward to me actually reading it and my thoughts....

In my opinion, it honestly wasn't that good. I just couldn't get into it. I literally dissected the story the entire time I was reading it. I laughed at the amount of sex in it. I mean come on people. No one does it that much. As for the freaky stuff...well whatever floats your boat.

I could see where some might find it exciting. I didn't. It was an okay story. For me, I just wanted a little more substance. The love story was buried so deep, it got boring for me. I read books 1 and 2...and started 3. But haven't finished. Sure I wonder what happened to Ana and Christian but not enough to try to dredge through it. At least right now.

I have ready many blog posts about why people aren't reading it. And that's cool. It's your choice. I applaud you for sticking to your beliefs. For those who read it and liked it. Good for you. Maybe you have some ideas for later.

As for me, I really don't remember anything particular about it. It wasn't a story that stuck with me. Most books I read do...

So what do you think?

Music Monday: Rock of Ages - Pour Some Sugar on Me

Ok, so I'm a big fan of 80's hair bands. I mean seriously. If I had been of age in the 80s and actually would have been a wild child, I would have been one of those crazy girls who threw their panties on stage. But I have never been wild and I didn't, so instead I blog about it. ;)

Yesterday, I bought the Rock of Ages Soundtrack.

Now, this is a big deal because I'm not a huge Tom cruise fan. That dude lost all respect when he started jumping on couches and flippin' out on tv. His extremely boring sex tape (I mean movie) with now ex-wife Nicole Kidman didn't help things either. Other than Cocktail and Top Gun this guy hasn't done anything good, in my opinion.

Yet I'm hearing all kinds of wonderful things about this movie. And I wonder can Tom Cruise really pull off playing an 80s rockster. From the music I'm hearing on the soundtrack...this may be it. I would say a comeback (he never left) but this recent divorce from Katie Holmes might not help things. Who knows maybe she was the one causing all the crazy and he'll return to normal. Maybe. We'll see.

HOT.
NOT.
Ok, I'm off topic. Anywho...here's one of the songs and it's pretty darn good. I love this song. It's a really really good song. I could say more, but I'd embarrass myself. Listen. Enjoy. Then go buy it on Amazon. You can the soundtrack for only 99 cents. Just go here and press the "enter your code" button. Use coupon code HEARTMP3 for a $2 MP3 credit!

So tell me...what do you think?

Up In The Air

Well, I guess as you can see I haven't been blogging much. I didn't lose interest but I seemed to have lost my purpose.

I'm not sure where I want my blog to go anymore. I feel like a balloon floating in the air...just drifting...

balloon in the sky. Pictures, Images and Photos

I love doing product reviews and giveaways...but I also love just talking to you. Telling you about what's going on in my life...showing you pictures of my kids and just having a good ol' fashioned controversial post every now and again.

I think I'm worried it's going to consume me. I want it to be fun, yet I still want it to be beneficial to me. I'm feeling lost and overwhelmed.

I changed the name from Dragonflies 'n Daydreams to Life with Lesley hoping that it would spur something. Nothing yet. :(

Just pray that I can find my way and feel satisfied with whatever decision that is made.
