ReplyDeleteI was reading a comment you left on another blog and thought I should tell you...I have a 5 (almost 6 year old) daughter and she would do the same thing. Cry, throw a fit, lay on her bedroom floor until she thought someone would come rescue her from cleaning her room. I finally set a timer for 30 minutes, if she didn't have anything accomplished, she got a spanking (yes, I'm one of those moms). But, the key in teaching your child to clean isn't through spankings, but through consistency. Continue to make them do it at a young age and soon, you will see a big turn around. My daughter now knows what to do.
